Description
Ardex Feather Finish is a cement-based underlayment you use to smooth a floor before installing sheet vinyl, VCT or other floor coverings. It's a blend of Portland cement and other hydraulic cements, and it dries to a smooth, permanent surface. Use it as a skim coat or trowel it out to a true featheredge over a wide range of substrates.

Mixing
Use 2 1/2 quarts (2.4 L) of water per 10 lb (4.5 kg) bag. For a smaller batch, mix 2 parts powder to 1 part water by volume.
Coverage per 10 lb bag
- 16.7 sq ft at 1/4 in. (1.5 sq m at 6 mm)
- 33.3 sq ft at 1/8 in. (3.09 sq m at 3 mm)
- 100 to 300 sq ft as a skim coat (9.2 to 27.8 sq m)
Coverage changes with the texture of the surface you're smoothing.
